PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a cooler to cool the entire part of an original reader uniformly and efficiently without increasing cost, noise and power consumption by moving a fan in the vicinity of a light source on a carriage together with the carriage so to cool only a home position intensively. SOLUTION: The original reader is provided with a scanning body 5 integrating a light source 3 that emits a light on an original face and an optical component leading a reflected light from the original to a prescribed position and with a drive source 21 that moves the scanning body in an original scanning direction, and a fan to cool the heat generated by the light source is incorporated into the scanning body and moved integrally. |
