PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which decreases the friction coefficient of the surface of an image carrier, thereby preventing wear of the surface of the image carrier and deterioration of characteristics, and forms a highly durable, satisfactory image. SOLUTION: The device is so composed as to use at least the image carrier 30 such as a photoreceptor, and an electrophotographic system including a developing process for attaching toner to an electrostatic latent image, formed on the image carrier 30, by means of a developing unit 23, thereby rendering it visible, a transfer process for moving and attaching the toner image, formed on the image carrier 30, to recording paper 24 by means of a transfer unit 25, and a cleaning process for clearing away residual toner on the image carrier, which occurs at the time of transfer, by means of a cleaning means 29. In the case, as a means for extending the life of the image carrier 30 by decreasing the friction coefficient of the surface of the image carrier 30 by the supply of a lubricant to the image carrier 30, thereby decreasing scrape of the surface of the image carrier 30, the lubricant is supplied by being put in a bag 28 having controlled solid releasing property. Thus, because the lubricant can steadily be supplied, scratches and wear of the surface of the image carrier 30 can be prevented. |
