FIELD: shipbuilding; control devices for optimal use of energy generated by main shipboard power source. SUBSTANCE: energy is delivered to engines for motion of ship in longitudinal direction and probably to engines for motion of ship in transversal direction together with engines ensuring operation of other shipboard arrangements. Control device has electric control circuit which connects main power source, generators and engine with maneuvering unit, programmed logic control unit and probably global positioning system. Programmed logic control unit is designed for receiving information on required motion of ship, for example, from maneuvering unit or from global positioning system and for transmitting control pulses to engines to make them operate on basis of data optimization program in order to obtain required motion of ship at minimum power requirements.
