PACKING MATERIAL FOR WATER TREATMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing material which is capable of stably exhibiting a high treatment capability while embodying the reduction of a production cost and maintenance cost of the material itself and a water treating device, such as a septic tank. SOLUTION: This packing material for water treatment is formed by injection molding of a synthetic resin having the specific gravity approximate to the specific gravity of water, has an external shape of not capturing air bubbles while assuring a large area and has an approximately spherical shape in appearance. The packing material described above has a disk-shaped supporting part 1, a first cylindrical part 2 of a short cylindrical shape which is coaxial on the frout surface side of the supporting part 1, a second cylindrical part 3 of a short cylindrical shape which is coaxial on the rear surface side of the supporting part 1, 12 sheets of first vane parts 9 which are formed to an approximately sectorial shape of 90 deg. in internal angle, is fixed one side to the front surface of the supporting part 1 and are arranged so as to be in a radial direction at an equal angle in the circumferential direction of the supporting part 1 and 12 sheets of second vane parts 10 which are formed to the approximately sectorial shape of 90 deg. in internal angle, are fixed one side to the rear surface of the supporting part 1 and are arranged so as to be in the radial direction at the equal angle offset at an equal angle from the respective first vane parts 9 in the circumferential direction of the supporting part 1. The respective first vane parts 9 and respective second vane parts 10 curve at an equal curvature.
