PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an actinic energy-ray curable coating composition imparting gloss to printed matters and capable of securing sufficient allowance in water content during printing. SOLUTION: This actinic energy-ray curable coating composition comprises an additive consisting of an aromatic sulfonamide-formaldehyde condensation product, especially a compound expressed by the general formula (R is a halogen or a lower alky; n is 0 or 1), and a monomer or an oligomer having a (meth) acryloyl group.
