<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive an automobile without anxiety, even at night by emitting light to the periphery of a projecting member, such as a rear view mirror which projects from a body of an automobile. SOLUTION: This attention catching device of an automobile is provided with a projecting member 10 projecting outwardly from the body of an automobile, a conductive electrode 12a for directly or indirectly surrounding the peripheral part of the projecting member 10, an EL layer 13 formed by forming an electroluminescent material having fluorescent materials dispersed in resin into a sheet shape and bonded on the conductive electrode 12a, a conductive mesh electrode 14 so arranged as to be put on the outer front surface of the EL layer 13 or so as to be embedded in it in order to apply the specified a.c. voltage to a part between the conductive electrode 12a and the outer front surface of the EL layer 13, and an a.c. voltage generating part 17 provided on the projecting member 10 and for generating the a.c. voltage by a d.c. power source of the automobile. The EL layer 13 emits light, when the a.c. voltage is applied to a part between the mesh electrode 14 and the conductive electrode 12a.</p> |
