<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a troidal type continuously variable transmission having a power roller support structure, capable of securing required sliding function or swing function of a power roller even in a simple structure having a small number of parts, and also eliminating the rigid problem peculiar to a non- eccentric shaft type and the torque shift problem peculiar to an eccentric shaft type. SOLUTION: A ball bearing rotatably supporting a power roller inner ring 93 is an angular contact ball bearing 92, a rolling groove of a power roller outer ring 94 is an elliptical rolling groove 94a having a vertical diameter different from the vertical diameter of a circular rolling groove 93a of the power roller inner ring 93, and a contact angleαcontacting in the longitudinal direction is larger in the vertical direction and smaller in the lateral direction, whereby the support rigidity in the radial direction is set higher in the vertical direction and lower in the lateral direction.</p> |
