摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic voltage regulator for controlling the voltage of a synchronous generator stably. SOLUTION: This automatic voltage regulator is provided with a switching element for adjusting the field voltage of a generator, a DC power supply for supplying a DC current to a series circuit of field coils and switching elements, a diode that is connected to the field coils in parallel and is connected to the DC power supply, an operational amplifier for compensating for the fluctuation of generator characteristics following the fluctuation of load impedance based on the output signal of a voltage detector for detecting the terminal voltage of the generator and a voltage command signal generator, and outputting a control signal for maintaining the voltage of the generator at a desired voltage, correction signal output equipment for correcting the fluctuation of the generator characteristics by the fluctuation of the synchronous reactance of the generator based on the output signal of the rotary speed detector of the generator, and a pulse width modulator for outputting a pulse voltage in on period that is proportional to a signal obtained by multiplying the output signals of the correction signal output equipment and the operational amplifier, and switching the switching element, thus performing stable voltage control by correcting the fluctuation of generator characteristics by the fluctuation of the synchronous reactance of the synchronous generator even if the rotary speed of the synchronous generator changes.</p>
