PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve resource protection and environmental conservation by recycling capable of obtaining a short lumber for bonded lumber such as laminated lumber and the like from waste lumber by demolition of a wooden building. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a short lumber for bonded lumber by waste lumber is provided by obtaining the short lumber for manufacturing bonded lumber such as laminate lumber and the like via a member dividing means for dividing waste lumber by the demolition of the wooden building into a framework member and a finishing carpentry member; a tree-kind classifying means for classifying the framework member into each tree kind; a means for removal of metals stationarily attached to the framework member; a cleaning means for removing foreign matter sticking to the framework member; a short lumber-cutting means containing cutting off of processing flaws and the like of the framework member; and a vertically sawing means for dividing short lumbers due to cutting the short lumber widthwise into pieces.
