PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely manage the presence or absence of the user of a terminal and to improve operability at the time of making a response by proxy to an incoming call for the user. SOLUTION: When the power-on or log-on of a personal computer is detected, presence/absence information on the user is updated to presence. When the non-operation time of the personal computer becomes not less than prescribed time, presence/absence information of the user is updated to temporary absence. When the power-off or log-off of the personal computer is detected, presence/ absence information of the user is updated to be absence. When the response by proxy is given to the incoming call to the telephone terminal which the use uses, a presence/absence state accumulation part refers to the presence/ absence situation of the user and the content is transmitted to the personal computer of the responder by proxy so as to display it. Thus, the situation of the user is reported to the responder by proxy.
