PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability on a compressor, by raising the recovery efficiency of oil discharged from the compressor of art air conditioner or a freezer, and securing the quantity of oil of the compressor. SOLUTION: In an oil separator which is constituted by connecting a inlet pipe, an outlet pipe, and an oil return pipe to the main body container, a spiral passage is made within the container, whereby the centrifugal separation effect by swirl flow so as to enhance the oil separation efficiency.
