PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having a thin dimension in height by providing on one side of a heat exchanger a space having an opening in an upper part for installing a pipe connection part, an electric equipment box and the like therein and detachably mounting an inspection cover having a blind lid capable of being removed by cutting in such a manner as to face a pipe connection part. SOLUTION: The pipe connection part 9 is disposed to a rear side of the space 12, and a fan motor 10 is provided adjacently to the connection part 9. The electric equipment box 11 is formed in a substantially L-shaped side cross-section by a horizontal part and a vertical part extending over an upper part and a front part of the fan motor 10. The inspection cover 13 for covering the upper opening of the space 12 is provided with the blind lid 14 capable of being removed by cutting in such a manner as to face the connection part 9. |
