PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which responds in place of a driver to a telephone call sent during driving a vehicle. SOLUTION: There are provided a mobile telephone 11 capable of communicating even during moving, a mobile telephone control means 12 for controlling the mobile telephone 11, an external storage means 14 for storing map information, a voice synthesis means 15 for converting character strings in the map information to voice and extracting audio place name information, and a calculation process means 16 for calculating response information having the extracted audio place name information as audio response information. The audio response information is transmitted by the mobile telephone control means 12 to the mobile telephone 11, so that a receiver can obtain meaningful information having place name information added thereto without the vehicle driver's responding by himself or herself by voice. |
