摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit and a drive method for a liquid crystal display device which require a small memory, suppress the enlarging of a circuit scale, and actualize fast liquid crystal response and superior moving image display performance. SOLUTION: A data table for fast response is provided, which contains output data corresponding to some of gradations of previous-field image data and some of gradations of current-field image data, and the output data corresponding to the gradations of the previous-field image data and the gradations of the current-field image data are computed through linear interpolation; and voltage applied to liquid crystal voltage is determined, while the gradation values of the image data of the previous field are taken into consideration, in addition to the gradation values of the current-field image data and when the voltage is determined, the voltage making the liquid crystal turn into the gradation values of the current-field image data a one-field period later is determined as the voltage applied to the liquid crystal for the current field.
