TRANSPARENT FILM FOR DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent film for display which realizes a flat panel display having an excellent display grade, has excellent optical isotropy, heat resistance and dimensional stability in combination and is extremely little in dimensional change after high-temperature heating. SOLUTION: This transparent film for display is a transparent film formed by molding a thermoplastic polymer having a glass transition temperature of >=170 deg.C by a solution casting method and is characterized in that (i) its three-dimensional refractive index simultaneously satisfies the following equations (A) and (B); (ii) its dimensional change rate after heat treatment for 2 hours at 150 deg.C is <=0.05%; (iii) its saturated percentage water absorption is <=0.4% and (iv) its water vapor transmission rate under 90% RH at 40 deg.C is <=35 g.100μm/m<2> /day.
