<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching device having a simple operation mechanism switching a breaking part and a disconnecting part in good order. <P>SOLUTION: The switching device is composed of a breaking part 1a composed of a vacuum valve 4 having one pair of first contacts 2, 3 free in contact and separation and a disconnection spring part 1a2 jointed to a movable axis 6 of the vacuum valve 4 so as to open the first pair of contacts 2, 3; and a disconnection part 1b having a pair of second contacts 12, 18 respectively fixed to the tip part of a first movable conductive axis 11 jointed to the movable axis 6, and to the tip part of a second movable conductive axis 19 arranged in the axial direction of the first movable conductive axis 11; and an operation mechanism 37 jointed to the second movable conductive axis 19.
