<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which displays the stereoscopic images without a discrepancy felt by the players. <P>SOLUTION: The depthwise reference is determined in the stereoscopic display of a mobile object OM based on the positional relationship on the image display surface between the mobile object, other objects OF and a liquid crystal display panel 804. The displayable range with the reference as one end is set based on the maximum stereoscopic looking (depth looking at the moment of the stereoscopic display). The position of the mobile object in the depthwise direction thereof is obtained at the subsequent timing of updating the display images by a moving route map of the mobile object.
