PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oil based ink composition which has a good hue, a sharp absorption spectrum, and a good color purity and can form an image having a high stock stability such as light fastness, and the like. SOLUTION: This oil based ink composition contains an oil solvent and a compound of general formula (1). In general formula (1), Ar is an aryl group or a hetero cyclic group; and X1-X5 are each carbon or nitrogen atom which can form an unsaturated hetero 5-member ring. |
