<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of comprehensively attaining the effective utilization of a digestion gas produced by methane fermentation treatment of sewage water, waste water and various waste products and the effective utilization of waste heat generated by the method of producing hydrogen according to electrolysis. <P>SOLUTION: A hydrogen production method is disclosed as one embodiment of this invention in which a solid oxide electrolyte is used, a reducing gas is fed to an anode side and steam is fed to a cathode side, voltage is applied to the anode side and the cathode side, and oxygen ions are brought into reaction with the reducing gas on the anode side to produce a gradient in the concentration of the oxygen ions, wherein as the reducing gas fed to the anode side, a digestion gas generated by the methane fermentation of sewage water and/or waste water and/or waste products is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
