<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat cable satisfying a vertical flame test which is a strengthened ISO6722 combustion test. <P>SOLUTION: This flat cable has an insulating coating comprising an inner layer having thickness of 0.025 to 0.4 mm and fireproofed by blending a flame retardant in both back and front sides of a conductor and an outer layer having thickness of 0.02 to 0.1 mm and fireproofed by not blending the flame retardant or blended the flame retardant less than the inner layer. The inner layer uses a polymer containing a polyolefine polymer and a styrene elastomer as a base polymer and contains 145 pts.wt. or more to the base polymer 100 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide represented by äMg<SB>1-x</SB>M<SB>x</SB>(OH)<SB>2</SB>} (where M is one or more kinds of metals chosen from Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn, and 0.01≤x<1) wherein magnesium and other metals are solid-solved as the flame retardant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
