PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device which is capable of improving visibility coping with improvement of the feeling of presence and furthermore has versatility, and an illumination system for an image device. SOLUTION: This is the illumination device 10 and the illumination system 30 for the image device equipped with a first light source part 11 to illuminate background of the image device 20, a second light source part 12 to illuminate an appreciation side face so that light is emitted on more outside than a screen of the image device, a calculation part 13 to form illumination control data based on the data from the image device, and control parts 14, 15 to control a light-emitting pattern of the first and the second light source parts coping with the illumination control data of the calculation part.
