PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester film product which can inexpensively prevent the occurrence of a fault by the deposition of a low molecule component during cooling treatment after heat treatment. SOLUTION: A film manufacturing apparatus 10 includes a heat treatment chamber 40 for heating a polyester film 12 and a cooling chamber 50 for cooling the heat-treated polyester film 12. In the cooling chamber 50, the temperature of an atmosphere above a polyester film 12 conveyance position in a cooling zone in which the temperature of the polyester film 12 is at least 170°C is controlled to be at least 80°C.
