PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an unequal legged angle iron of unequal thickness in which the product strain is reduced and which has strength difference between the web and the flange in the unequal legged angle iron of the unequal thickness which is different in the thickness and the width of the web and the flange. SOLUTION: By performing the controlled cooling of the flange (the short side) part while restraining the rolled stock of the unequal legged angle iron of the unequal thickness in every pass with a side guide in the front and the rear of an intermediate rolling mill which is arranged in the early stage of a finishing mill and the surface temperature of the flange (the short side) part in the front of the finishing mill is taken as 800-600°C.
