摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of acquiring the maximum throughput in the present channel status and selecting a transmission rate and the number of frames in an intensive frame. <P>SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus is provided with a transmitting means for transmitting the intensive frame including a plurality of frames; and a storage means for storing a reference intensive frame length as the frame length of an intensive frame in which the throughput higher than the throughput of frame lengths of any intensive frames having transmission rates lower than this transmission rate can be acquired, for each of the transmission rates used in transmitting the intensive frame. Any one of the plurality of transmission rates usable in transmitting the intensive frame and its reference intensive frame are selected. When it is determined that communication can be performed at this transmission rate and frame length by receiving acknowledgement in transmitting the intensive frame of this frame length by a transmitting means at this transmission rate, this transmission rate and frame length are set at initial values and or the maximum values of a transmission rate and the frame length of this intensive frame in transmitting the intensive frame by the transmitting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
