<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent pressure detecting device which, in details, detects the change of the pressure of the artery from the outside by coming into contact with a living body. <P>SOLUTION: This pressure detecting device 1 is equipped with a detecting section 3A at the location of the opening section 6A of a casing 6. The detecting section 3A is constituted by laminating a sheet-form piezoelectric sensor 7 and a strain sensor 8. A pressing mechanism 14 is provided in the casing 6, and a controlling device 10 controls the operation of a DC motor 15 of the pressing mechanism 14, and makes the detecting section 3A pressed to the skin of the wrist 2 by specified pressure. The pressure change of the radial artery 2A of the wrist 2 is detected by the piezoelectric sensor 7. The controlling device 10 calculates highest blood pressure and lowest blood pressure based on the pressure change, and displays them on a monitor 5. By this method, the pressure detecting device 1 which is compact and thin, and in addition, is hard to be displaced can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
