<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feed cassette for preventing a side guide from being displaced due to impact caused when the paper feed cassette is attached and removed and an image forming device having it. <P>SOLUTION: The side guide 50 has a contact part 51 abutting on the side part of paper and a holding part 52 and an operation knob 53 for moving the side guide 50. A positioning rail 44 in which a locking groove 46 is formed is mounted on the upper surface of a cassette frame 40. An engagement part 53a projecting from the bottom end of the operation knob 53 is engaged with the locking groove 46. The locking groove 46 has a slope for tilting the side guide in the direction separating from the paper.
