摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual reality system based on image dividing system, in which the moving to stereoscopic video and planar video is continuously and easily performed while using three-dimensional (3D) computer graphics and the original picture of multivision can be displayed with fidelity while keeping the resolution of the high-definition video of every signal system. SOLUTION: This system has a stereoscopic image generating part 700 for generating two images for the right eye and left eye while using the 3D computer graphics for generating images from information describing a 3D space with a computer, a display state transiting means capable of transition from a planar display state having no parallax to a stereoscopic display state corresponding to a change in the parallax quantity of two left and right images, an expanding and distributing device for expanding the output of the stereoscopic image generating part 700 for multivision and distributing it, and multivision for inputting the output of the expanding and distributing device and displaying it on plural cores, and the parallax quantity of two left and right images is continuously changed, a display state can be transited continuously and smoothly between the display state with the parallax quantity of zero and a display state having a finite parallax, and the transition can be stopped at any arbitrary parallax value.
