SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING LICENSE OF FAMILY DOMAIN IN DRM SYSTEM

A system for managing the license of a family domain in a DRM(Digital Rights Management) system and a management method thereof are provided to enable devices of a user belonging to the family domain to share DRM digital contents. A plurality of DRM user clients(200,300,400) form a family domain. A specific device of a plurality of devices forming the family domain generates a domain key by using the identifiers of the devices, and then requests the license corresponding to the generated domain key. A license server(150) registers family domains which respectively corresponds to each of the DRM user clients, and generates the license corresponding to the domain keys received from the DRM user clients. A content distribution server(100) provides the downloading service or streaming service for the packaged contents by the requests of the DRM user clients.
