<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of parts for easy assembly, and to form a seat belt retractor compact even if a motor and its electronic control unit are integrally provided. <P>SOLUTION: An ECU 16 is laid out such that, when the seat belt retractor 6 is mounted on a vehicle, an ECU connector 16c faces a vehicle-side connector 18 attached to a prescribed position on the vehicle. The vehicle-side connector 18 is connected to a power supply 17.
