PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can prevent a rear section of a high part in a middle-high part from twisting as well as fluid from leaking from sides due to a low diffusibility in the longitudinal direction. SOLUTION: An oblong absorbent article 1 comprises a front surface sheet 2 creating a skin-contact side, a back sheet creating a body-contactless side, and an absorber 4 between the sheets; the absorber 4 has a middle-high part M thicker than a periphery only in an excretion region A of the absorbent article 1, lateral grooves 7 and 7 integrating the front surface sheet 2 and the absorber 4 are created outside of the middle-high part M in the width direction at least in the skin-contact side of the absorbent article 1, a middle groove 8 extending in the width direction of the absorbent article 1 is created in the vicinity of the rear section of the middle-high part M in the skin-contact side of the absorbent article 1, and both end parts 81 of the middle groove 8 are located outside of the middle-high part M in the width direction and separated from the lateral grooves 7.
