Disclosed are a water level detecting device and a dehumidifier including the same. The disclosed water level detecting device includes: a guide unit installed in a water collection container collecting condensate water generated as a dehumidification function is performed; a subject to be detected, which is inserted into the guide unit and ascending by the condensate water collected in the water collection container; and a sensor sensing a movement of the subject to be detected by being arranged in a main body of the dehumidifier in which the water collection container is mounted thereon or is detached from the same. A water level of the water collection container is set as any one among at least two different water levels in accordance with an insertion direction of the subject to be detected, which is inserted into the guide unit.
