PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave measuring apparatus capable of achieving power saving while having a pulse wave sensor for measuring a pulse wave, and a drive control method of the pulse wave measuring apparatus.SOLUTION: A pulse wave measuring apparatus 10 includes: a pulse wave sensor 19 for measuring a pulse wave of a subject which is formed of light emitting part 17 for irradiating a living body of the subject with light, and a light receiving part 18 for receiving reflection light reflected from the living body, and outputting a voltage according to its intensity; a motion sensor 15 for outputting a body movement signal according to a body movement of the subject; and a control part 11 for controlling each part. The control part 11 determines whether the subject is in a body movement state or in a non-body movement state according to the intensity of the body movement signal, and controls execution of the pulse wave measurement by the pulse wave sensor 19 according to the non-body movement state or the body movement state that have been determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
