PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent a unit from being inserted into an apparatus body while a bearing is in contact with the unit.SOLUTION: A door 101 is provided with a rib 101c at a position not attached to an apparatus body 100 and can be in contact with a drum unit 20 projecting from the apparatus body 100. The rib 101c has a contact surface 101d to be in contact with the drum unit 20 during a closing operation of the door 101 formed to have an angle θ formed by the normal direction P and a parallel line Y parallel to an insertion direction to be 90 degrees or more. Thus, when the drum unit 20 is not attached to the apparatus body, even when the door 101 is brought into contact with the drum unit 20, the door 101 does not push in the drum unit 20, and the closing operation of the door 101 is regulated by the drum unit 20.
