METHOD FOR DETERMINING OPTIMUM CONDITION OF ELECTRICAL DISCHARGING PROCESS AND METHOD FOR ASSUMING DISCHARGING PROCESS TIME

PURPOSE: A method for determining the optimum condition of an electrical discharging process and a method for assuming the discharging process time are provided to perform the discharging process with the optimum condition by obtaining the optimum condition of the discharging process. CONSTITUTION: A workpiece installed on a turn table is filled with processing liquid. A pulse is applied to a tool electrode. After obtaining a cross line between the tool electrode and a horizontal area, a section area of the tool electrode is calculated from the cross line, thereby assuming the discharging process area. The sectional area of the tool electrode is calculated by using a grid searching method, thereby assuming the discharging process area with respect to the discharging position. Alternately, the sectional area of the tool electrode is calculated by using a Z-map, thereby assuming the discharging process area with respect to the discharging position.
