A concrete pump comprises parallel cylinders 1, 2 connected to a valve casing 5 with a four-way rotary vane valve 10 actuated by a hydraulic cylinder 23, the valve connecting the cylinders 1 and 2 alternately to a feed hopper 7 and an outlet 8. The pump pistons 3 and 4 are hydraulically actuated and connected such that the delivery stroke of one effects the return stroke of the other. The hopper 7 and outlet 8 are removably clamped to the valve casing, the connecting flanges being square to provide four alternative positions for the hopper and outlet. Clamping is effected either by clamp bolts 36 and hinges, as shown, or by tiebolts clamping the hopper and outlet flanges between valve casing end plates, Fig. 4 (not shown). Replaceable wear plates are provided on end plates 12 and 13, Fig.4 (not shown). Side covers 16, 17 are hinged at 18 and 19 and are releasably clamped to the valve casing at 20, 21 to provide access for cleaning.
