Covering for boxes of wood shavings during transport - consists of lid rolled by shaft actuated by piston and cylinder element and fitted with elastic retractors

The arrangement is designed to cover boxes contg. wood shavings (1) esp. during their transport by goods vehicles. It provides for the use of a cover (4) which may be rolled off a shaft (5) and can be rolled back on to it. The cover is drawn from the shaft by a swivel arm (6) fixed to each one of two opposite walls of the shavings box. One end of the arm has a turnable bearing on the appropriate wall (2) and the installation includes at least one piston and cylinder element (9, 10) connected to at least one swivel arm as well as to the wall in order to move the swivel arms (6) and to draw out the cover over the box from one side to the other. The other ends of the swivel arms carry the shaft (5) for it's simultaneous movement across the shavings box when the swivel arms are actuated by the piston and cylinder unit (9, 10).
