A circuit is proposed having a rapid-heating control loop and a normal-mode control loop, the control loops having NTC thermistors or PTC thermistors allocated to them as sensor elements. When it is brought into use, the rapid-heating control loop is initially blocked by a timer and a check is carried out to determine whether the temperature acting on the sensor of the rapid-heating control loop warrants the said control loop being brought into use. If this is the case, the rapid-heating control loop supplies a control signal both to switching means for supplying an increased heating current to a heating element in the car-seat heater, and a control signal for controlling switching means which maintain the connection to the voltage source irrespective of the condition of the normal-mode control loop. In consequence, a simplification of the method of operation and a simplification of the circuit construction are achieved.
|
