PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mantle removing apparatus for scallop, capable of automatically taking out a mantle from an internal organ of scallop from which the adductor of scallop is removed. SOLUTION: In this mantle removing apparatus 1 for scallop having a mantle removing mechanism comprising a raw material (internal organ of scallop) feed container 10 in which a raw material is thrown, a scooping up means 20 and a brushing and dropping means 30, the apparatus has a structure in which the crosssectional shape of the container 10 is made into a semicircular shape, the brushing and dropping means 20 is attached to a revolving shaft 21 supported by a supporting frame 72 of the mantle removing mechanism and a scooping up blade 22 is rotated closely to the inner wall of the container 10. The brushing and dropping means 30 is equipped with a channel through which the blade 22 can be passed, the brushing and dropping means is attached to the opening part of the container 10, the raw material thrown in the container 10 is moved to the brushing and dropping means 30 by the blade 22 and only the mantle is passed through the channel of the brushing and dropping member 30 and taken out from the internal organ. |
