PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a griddle comprising a plate with a through hole bored in a part on the cooking surface for cooking meat, capable of preventing generation of smoke, especially lampblack, as much as possible. SOLUTION: A drip well 3 is mounted on the rear surface of the plate 1 for receiving gravy and grease dripping from a through hole 2. An air suction box 6 with a catalytic air suction surface 7 is mounted below the plate 1, and a through hole 4 is bored in the side wall of the drip well 3 facing the catalytic air suction surface 7. In addition, an air passage is formed for releasing smoke generated on the cooking surface of the plate to the outside of the griddle by sucking air in the air suction box 6 through the through hole 2 of the plate by way of the drip well 3, the through hole 4 of the drip well 3 and the catalytic air suction surface 7. The lampblack, passing the catalytic air suction surface 7, is purified by an oxidation catalyst 5. Locating the oxidation catalyst 5 just under a heater 8 of the plate 1 is effective because the oxidation catalyst is easily heated. |
