PURPOSE:To make it possible to fusion-weld non-polar macromolecular materials such as polyethylene, polypropylene or the like by a method wherein two plastic parts are brought into contact with pressure in the state that a filmy medium which generates heat by being induced with alternating magnetic field is interposed in the joining boundary of the two parts so as to fusion-weld the two parts together with the filmy medium into an integral body by applying alternating magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:In the state that a filmy medium 4 is interposed in the joining interfaces of a plastic part A3 and of a plastic part B5 to be joined with each other, the part A3, between which and an upper platen 1 a pressure equalizing plate 2 is sandwiched, and the part B5 are brought into contact with pressure by the upper platen 1 and a lower platen 6. When alternating magnetic field is generated with an electromagnetic field generating device 7 under the above-mentioned state, the filmy medium 4 generates heat so as to fuse the joint surface of the part A3 and the part B5 in order to fusion-weld the part A3 and the part B5 under the state that the filmy medium 4 is interposed in them into an integral body. The filmy medium 4 is not limited to wire mesh. Any net-like or perforated thin plate- like structure or the like, which is made of metal or other electrically conductive material and allows the resins of the two parts to fuse with each other, and any pattern, which is coated or printed with electrically conductive paint onto the joining interface of one part into the form of lattice, porous and other proper design, can also be employed as the filmy medium 4. |
