A slide, designed in one piece as a cast part, for a deploying member of a sliding sunroof or tilt-and-slide sunroof is specified, the slide body of which has two limbs which lie at a distance from each other and run in parallel and are connected at one end via a web-shaped bracket. The bracket is used here in cooperation with the nearest limb of the slide body as a receptacle and pivot bearing for the deploying member, whereas the opposite limb is used for the holding and mounting of the driving cable for the movement of the slide. Furthermore, the area on the opposite limb is configured in such a manner that a rack-and-pinion drive for the movement of a sliding headliner can be accommodated. The slide body is also configured in such a manner that a covering part for a guide channel, in which the slide is guided in a longitudinally movable manner, is held in the slide body and is guided there in a manner which is secure against rotation.
