<p>PURPOSE:To improve gradation repeatability by providing a driving electrode connected to at least a half periphery of a light emitting section of a plurality of LEDs having a shape such that an electric current flows to the light emitting section unevenly, and a drive circuit for driving by an electric current of about twice the current through the driving electrode. CONSTITUTION:Two sides of an approximately square LED 4 are connected to a driving electrode 3A in order to make an electric current I0* flow to a light emitting section of the LED 4 unevenly. Accordingly, there will be difference in the light emitting intensity of the light emitting section of the LED 4 dependent on its positions. That is, for example, making a light emitting intensity at a position to which a mean value of the current flows a reference, the electric current is made to flow such that a light emitting intensity at a position to which the largest current flows is made to be the largest intensity 4.5, and a light emitting intensity at a position to which the smallest current flows is made to be the smallest intensity 0.5. The electric current is made to be twice a current used in a conventional way so as to make difference in distribution of the quantity of light between at the electrode 3A and at an opposite side thereof.</p> |
