<p>PURPOSE:To restrain elution of Na from slag as much as possible by adding a boron-containing ore before or during desulfurizing treatment to molten iron and accelerating solidification of the slag. CONSTITUTION:By adding the boron-containing ore of colemanite, etc., as B2O3 ore, before or during desulfurizing treatment to the molten iron, crystal transformation of 2CaO.SiO2 having small density difference from that of said ore and scarcely expanding the vol., is developed. By this method, degradation of slag produced at this time is prevented and this slag is made to close, and as this result, the elution of Na contained in the slag is restrained as much as possible. Then, in this invention, even in the case of adding the above ore at pre-treating stage to the molten iron, adverse influence to this composition is not developed. Further, injury of chemical inflammation, etc., to an operator caused in recycle treatment of the slag is avoided and working surroundings can remarkably be improved.</p> |
