PURPOSE: To actualize a Josephson junction without using liquid helium by making the main surface of a body contain Ba, Bi, and oxygen and exposing it to particle flux containing M at need, and using a superconductor for a material layer so that a Ba- and Bi-containing insulator layer is formed on the main surface. CONSTITUTION: On a base material 10 (e.g. MgO body having a flat main surface), a superconductor layer 11 is arranged and on a dielectric layer 13 and further a superconductor layer 12 are arranged. Both superconductor layers are made substantially of bismuth salt in general. This can be formed by a known technology, e.g. vapor deposition, laser ablasion, sputtering, or molecular- beam epitaxy(MBE), but MBE is high in controllability, so this technology is preferable. |
