PURPOSE:To provide a flat belt which is uniform in material, has high strength, excellent productivity, and good size precision, and has the same function as that of a seamless belt. CONSTITUTION:A solvent 3 dissolving a film 1 or a polymer solution dissolved with a polymer with the same material as that of amorphous engineering plastic into the solvent 3 is coated on the amorphous engineering plastic film 1. The surface of the film 1 is melted by the coating. Multiple layers of films 1 are laminated to the desired thickness. The films 1 are dried to evaporate the solvent 3, and the films 1 are connected together to form a flat belt. The films 1 are connected together via a dissolved/solidified section dissolved by the solvent 3 or a solution and solidified when the solvent 3 is evaporated. The function similar to that of a seamless belt is provided. |
