PURPOSE:To reduce the amt. of pores existing in a superconductor and to increase the Jc of the superconductor when the superconductor is produced on a metal substrate with metallic salts or a soln. contg. the metallic salts. CONSTITUTION:The outside of a calcined compact or a sintered compact contg. Y, Ba and Cu is coated with metallic salts contg. Ba and Cu or a soln. contg. the metallic salts and sintering is carried out to produce the objective ceramic superconductor.
