A refillable housing for liquid, pasty or powdered substances, comprising a housing (2) with an open bottom (4) for inserting a container (1) containing the substance and having an externally threaded ring (3) for fastening it to the housing at the opposite upper end thereof. This refillable housing is particularly remarkable in that the top end of said housing (2) comprises a freely rotatable, outwardly accessible nut (5) for engaging the thread on the ring (3) of the container (1) such that said container may be fitted in or removed from the housing by screwing or unscrewing said nut.
