<p>PURPOSE: To readily produce an organic silicon-containing compound useful as a raw material for an absorption inhibitor, a water repellent/oil repellent agent, etc., and in a wide field in high yield. CONSTITUTION: In reacting an unsaturated hydrocarbon containing an end double bond with a hydrosilane of the formula Ha SiRb X4-(a+b) (JR is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or an aryl group; X is an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group; (a) is 1 or 2; (b) is 0, 1 or 2 and a+b is <=3) in the presence of a catalyst of a metal of the group VIII, 15<-4> to 5wt.% of water based on the total of the unsaturated hydrocarbon and the hydrosilane compound fed is made to coexist.</p> |
