PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition excellent in heat resistance and flowability and having an excellent balance among mechanical properties including weld strength and rigidity by incorporating a specific graft copolymer, etc., into a thermotropic liquid-crystal polyester. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 99-1wt.% thermotropic liquid-crystal polyester (A) and 1-99wt.% graft copolymer (B) obtained by polymerizing one or more monomers comprising a (meth)acrylic ester as a major component in the presence of a rubbery ethylene/α-olefin polymer and/or a hydrogenated rubbery conjugated diene polymer. The thermoplastic resin composition can also be obtained by comprising 99-1wt.% the ingredient (A) and 1-99wt.% organosiloxane graft copolymer (C) obtained by graft- polymerizing a vinyl monomer with a composite rubber comprising a polyorganosiloxane and an acrylic polymer. The thermoplastic resin composition can also be obtained by comprising 99-1wt.% the ingredient (A) and 1-99wt.% thermoplastic polyester (D) having a modulus in flexure at 25 deg.C of 2,000-20,000kg/cm<2> .
