PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize chloropicrin and make the handling thereof safe and easy by occluding the chloropicrin or a formulation containing the chloropicrin in a specific substance. SOLUTION: This method for stabilizing chloropicrin is to occlude a germicidal or an insecticidal ingredient containing the chloropicrin in zeolite. Zeolite containing practically no Fe, Cu, Pb and Sn as an exchangable cation thereof is preferably used as the zeolite. This kind of zeolite includes X-type, Y-type, A-type, chabazite, gmelinite, faujasite, erionite, offretite, levynite, mazzite, mordenite, ferrierite, etc., and among them, naturally occurring zeolite, especially naturally occurring mordenite or clinopratilolite or a mixture of both is preferred. The amount of the occluded germicidal or insecticidal ingredient containing the chloropicrin in zeolite is 3-30wt.%. |
